After the veggies and fruits....

The combination of meat, vegetables and fruit gives your dog a meal that is rich in proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Yet it is still not complete!

Left as-is the meal would be low in EPA (Omega-3 fatty acids) which are relatively rare in nature but essential for good health. Fortunately many fish oils are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids so at Duke's each meal contains added cold-pressed Salmon oil.

In order for the body to put the Omega-3's to best use it requires linolenic acids so we also add those to the mix as well. The impact of EPA (Omega-3 fatty acids) and linolenic acids is thoroughly discussed by Dr. Barry Sears in his "Zone" books. Click here for more information.

Then finally there is calcium... well there is no need to add extra calcium to the mix because with Duke's your dog is getting bones to chew on every week and they will supply all the calcium your dog needs.

Of course there are some secret ingredients and we continually vary the fruit/veggie mix to provide your dog with something we all want in our meals - variety! So now you know what happens at Duke's to enable you and your dog to get a week's worth of bones and highly nutritional meals!
